We’re thrilled to be release details of the demo bikes available at this year’s festival. Mountain bikes, kids bikes, e-bikes and more!
The demo bikes at last year’s festival were a highlight for a lot of people and it was a joy to see so many people testing out the latest range of bikes from so many brands.
We’re obviously thrilled then to be able to announce that Sonder Bikes, Geometron, Frog Bikes, Stanton Bikes, Blazing Saddles and On Yer Bike are all bringing bikes for you to demo.
Sonder offer something different but they don’t charge through the nose for the privilege. Despite being seemingly niche and – let’s say it – a bit funny looking, Sonder bikes are impressively specced and great value. They are also impeccably well designed. The geometry of Sonder bikes is utterly modern and progressive. These aren’t beardy-weirdy retro bikes. They’re secretly rather cutting edge and pioneering. They’re not all hardtails anymore. There’s some fully bouncy model in the mix now.
As well as the big brands, we’re thrilled to be introducing you to some super special boutique bikes at this year’s Northern Grip. Get yourself booked in on a ride on a Geometron G16. Progressive doesn’t even begin to describe these machines!
Stanton are a small UK company who design and hand build mountain bike frames. Their Sherpa and Slackline bikes have garnered rave reviews and we’re super excited to see the brand new Switch9er FS at one of its first UK outings. Do not miss this.
We’re not leaving all the demo bike fun to the grown ups this year. Frog Bikes will be present with a range of balance bikes and pedal bikes for Little Grippers to shred on.
The team will be bringing the pick of their Orange fleet for you to demo, including Stage 4, Stage 5 and Orange Alpine E-Bikes. They’ll also have the 2018 Specialized Stumpjumper, Enduro and if you’re really lucky there might even be a 2019 Stumpy and Turbo Levo. Make sure you get down early for a chance to demo these beauties.
On Yer Bike
The much admired Lancashire bike shop group ride around Rossendale loads so it’s great to see them at Grip this year. They’ll have demo bikes from Bergamont plus Scott and Haibike e-bikes.
We’ll have a bespoke ‘best way around the quarry’ route for you to test the bikes around Lee Quarry and we’re hoping to have even more names to announce over the coming days so watch this space.
Speaking of which…
